Sarah King, LCSW
Therapist
I received my Master of Social Work degree at Portland State University in June 2014 and I am a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Oregon. I have developed a specialty in working with adults and juveniles who have struggled with inappropriate sexual behaviors and have obtained specialized certification to do such work, but I also greatly enjoy working with those seeking help and support around sexual addictions, sexual preoccupation and relational issues. Recently I have begun working with veterans seeking help in these areas as well. My theoretical framework is based in attachment theory, meaning I work within the relationship to help my clients heal past wounds and redevelop healthy and safe boundaries with themselves and others. I also utilize cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral interventions as a way for my clients to practice new skills and make practical, forward moving changes.
Treatment modalities offered: Mindfulness Interventions & Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy
